Masamune Shiro, the creator of the enthusiastic and popular "Checking Machine Corps", made a major debut in 1985 with the SF manga "Apple Seed" and started serializing the "Checking Machine Corps" in 1989. The world view, which incorporates advanced technologies that had not yet penetrated the world at that time, with a unique sense, as if foreseeing the modern age of the information society, has attracted many people. The paintings drawn in detail, plots composed of huge amounts of information, and the words of the artist, up to <extras>, give the work a lot of enthusiasm and spark the imagination of the reader. Many creators have been influenced by Masamune Shiro's worldview, which incorporates philosophical exploration, and continue to produce works in various genres.

"Black Magic" is a collection of early works depicting the world in which the super giant computer "Nemesis" is responsible for politics. "Apple Seed" is a science fiction action depicting Dunan of SWAT and Brial Leos of a whole body cyborg who lived in a ruined city after the Fifth World War. "Dominion" comically depicts the battle between Reona belonging to the "Police Tank Corps" and his pet's small tank Bonapartto, the villain, the villain. The "Civilege Machine Corps" depicts the battle of the offensive organization "Public Safety Division 9" under the direct control of the Prime Minister. The fantasy work "Senju Super Battle Shell ORION" in which gods summoned with super ancient magicians fight for "Senju Kuzuryu".
