PARCO Publishing was established in 1974 with the unique position of “Publishing Department of Fashion Building” and celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2024.

At that time, Eiko Ishioka, Shuji Terayama, and Harumi Yamaguchi, who were at the forefront of the times, were used to publish various books such as art, literary arts, practical books, and topical Western-style translations. Furthermore, from the late 1970s to the 1980s, many creators such as Shigesatou Itoi, Mizumaru Anzai, Jun Miura, etc. have been proposing new value as a "creator's experimental site".

About 1,700 books have been published in the last 50 years. I still have a lot of books that make me feel awful. What they tell us is that no matter how times change, "sensibility", "intellect" and "passion" will not fade away.

PARCO Publishing wants to create books and eras that will remain in the world 50 years from now.
